Frequently Asked Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does a lift spacer do?

A lift spacer changes the position of the strut mount or spring seat to raise the vehicle’s ride height. Depending on the suspension design, it can help level the vehicle or increase clearance at certain points. It does not replace worn springs, struts, or shock absorbers.

Will the lift equal the spacer thickness?

Not necessarily. The relationship between spacer thickness and resulting lift depends on the suspension design and mounting position. Spring condition, vehicle weight, and existing modifications can also affect the result. Check the product description for the stated spacer dimensions and expected lift.

How do I select the correct product?

Use the vehicle selector and choose the correct make, model, generation, and year. Check the suspension type, drivetrain, installation position, material, and height listed on the product page.

If your vehicle falls within a transition model year or has modified suspension, contact us before ordering. Include the product link, vehicle details, and VIN where available.

Why might you request my VIN?

A VIN can help us identify your vehicle and investigate compatibility, particularly for transition model years and regional variants. It does not always identify every suspension component or modification, so photographs, measurements, or additional information may also be required.

Are the products suitable for factory air suspension?

Unless the product page explicitly confirms compatibility, our lift spacers and coil spring helper bags are not suitable for vehicles with factory air suspension.

Coil spring helper bags are designed for installation inside compatible coil springs. They are not replacements for factory air suspension components.

What materials do you use?

Depending on the product, our spacers are made from aluminum with a protective powder-coated finish or polyurethane rated at Shore A 95. The material for each product is stated on its product page.

Can the product color differ from the photograph?

Yes, where indicated in the listing. Color may vary between manufacturing batches. A color variation does not change the product’s stated material, dimensions, fitment, or function.

Where are front strut spacers installed?

Most of our front strut spacers fit above the original strut top mount, between the mount and the vehicle body. Installation varies by application. Follow the relevant instructions and have the work performed by a qualified technician.

Where are rear coil spring spacers installed?

The installation position depends on the vehicle and product. Many fit at the upper spring seat, either together with or in place of the original rubber isolator. Follow the instructions for your specific application.

Do I need rear shock extensions?

This depends on the vehicle, suspension layout, and lift height. Check the product description for whether extensions are required or included. Contact us before installation if this is unclear.

Rear shock extensions do not lift the vehicle on their own.

Do I need an alignment after installation?

We recommend having the wheel alignment checked and adjusted as necessary after installation. The technician should also check suspension travel and component clearances and follow the vehicle manufacturer’s fastening and tightening procedures.

Can I install the parts myself?

Suspension work requires suitable tools, technical knowledge, and safe working practices. We recommend installation by a qualified technician. Contact us before installation if the supplied parts or instructions appear incorrect or unclear.

Will a lift kit allow me to fit larger tires?

We do not guarantee clearance for a particular tire size unless explicitly stated for the application. Tire clearance also depends on wheel width and offset, tire dimensions, steering movement, suspension travel, and bodywork.

What are air spring helper bags?

Air spring helper bags fit inside compatible coil springs to provide adjustable support under load. They can help reduce suspension sag, but they do not replace worn suspension components or increase the vehicle manufacturer’s permitted load limits.

How do I choose the correct air spring helper bag?

Follow the measurement guidance for the product and check the available space inside the coil spring, including any bump stops or other obstructions. Confirm the required bag dimensions and valve position.

If you are unsure, send us photographs and measurements before ordering. Follow the product-specific installation and pressure instructions.

What is included in the kit?

Contents vary by product. A front set normally includes two front spacers and the mounting hardware listed on the product page. A rear set
